Ingredients
  

  • 8 slices Bread Soft white or whole wheat bread.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter For the cinnamon filling.
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar Adds a deep, caramel-like flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon The star of the filling.
  • 2 large Eggs Essential for the egg mixture.
  • 1/2 cup Milk For the egg mixture.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Adds flavor to the egg mixture.
  • to taste Maple syrup Optional, for drizzling.
  • to taste Powdered sugar Optional, for dusting.

Instructions
 

  • Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the unsalted butter, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  • Spread the cinnamon filling generously on each slice of bread.
  • Roll each slice tightly from one end to the other and place seam-side down on a plate.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
  • Dip each rolled-up bread into the egg mixture, coating all sides.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
  • Place the roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer the cooked roll-ups to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess butter.
  • Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar if desired.
