Ingredients
  

  • 3-5 pounds Beef Brisket Look for a cut with good marbling for extra flavor.
  • 2 cups Beef Broth Keeps the brisket moist and adds depth to the flavor.
  • 1 large Onion Sliced, adds sweetness and aroma.
  • 4-6 cloves Garlic Minced, enhances overall taste.
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Balances savory flavors with a hint of sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce Adds a rich, tangy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the natural flavors.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adds a mild heat.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika For a smoky flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin Optional, for added depth.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder Optional, for a bit of heat.
  • 2 cups Optional Vegetables Carrots, potatoes, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the brisket under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Trim excess fat, leaving about a quarter-inch for flavor.
  • Season the brisket generously with salt, black pepper, paprika, and any additional spices. Rub the spices into the meat.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil. Sear the brisket for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Transfer the brisket to the slow cooker. Add sliced onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and any optional vegetables.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the brisket is tender and reaches an internal temperature of 195°F to 205°F.
  • Once cooked, let the brisket rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.
  • Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

Slow cooker brisket is a forgiving recipe; just remember to avoid lifting the lid too often during cooking.
